Bela Lugosi – The Talk

Back to the blog after a wonderful Christmas! Ending 2015 as a published author, writing wise, 2016 started off on a high note.

Now that my books have been delivered I now need to concentrate my talk on Bela Lugosi. I’ll be meeting up with Peter Cumisky in a few days time to go over a few things. It’ll give me a chance to check out the actual venue.

Thanks to Peter, the event is featured in the local newspaper The Chronicle. In addition to being a good piece on Bela Lugosi, I’ve been given a mention along with Cursed Horror Stars. The Chronicle is circulated across the North East of England. That should help my profile considerably.

According to the FB event created by Peter, about 40 people are so far going. This is pretty daunting for me despite performing gigs at some very dodgy pubs. I better work hard on this talk as I guess this audience won’t be taking any prisoners!

And finally I feature in February’s edition of The Writing Magazine. In addition to interviews with top writers and a list of writing events and potential markets, the magazine has a subscribers’ page that covers many first time authors. I’m the first one mentioned on the page, which is pretty cool. Perhaps one day I’ll make the front cover! No harm in dreaming!

Overall a good start to the year. Let’s see how the rest of 2016 develops. A lot of positive things have happened to me, and they are still happening as I speak. Watch this space folks!
