Round in Circles & Writers Circles
Yes it has been a while, although my daft videos I put on FB clearly points out, in between drinking wine, that I’m working away on my second book. However I am still on the look out for talks for this year.
Firstly there’s my other interest – music! In addition to running three buskers nights, Old Man Goat (the band I joined last year) are continuing rehearsals which also includes a couple live dry-runs at the Police Club in Newcastle. This is our third live gig at the club and son far its been the best one so far. True to say we still need more practise, but its gelling nicely and we’re looking much tighter.
So we’re certainly available for a support act or to play as part of a festival. Let us know!!!!!!
As for writing events, I got back into the swing of things with a talk for the North Shields Writers Circle, held at North Tyneside Central Library. The talk was met with a very positive response from the small group, which is always a wonderful experience. Its also led to a possible future talk at the library.
Thank you Jennifer Wilson for inviting me. I met Jennifer briefly at Swanwick last year – it was her first time – and this year she’s doing part of the evening activities. Her own book launch is coming soon and I’ll be there to support it.
Speaking of Swanwick, thanks to the great work of the committee, bookings have risen considerably. With only a few spaces left, it looks like I’ll have to share a cupboard with someone!
