The Beast from the East - But Enough About Me!!

We certainly had and interesting week weather wise, what with the dreaded Beast from the East coming in from Russia, closely followed by Storm Emma. The question is: will we have a White Easter?

On the other front, not weather related, I finally paid for my stall at The Absinth Goth Festival. Thank you Kirstin for your patience. She's sorting out the bands for the event, and it looks good.

In addition to my future talks at the Castle Keep, I've landed one at Gateshead Library (only 5 minutes walk from where I live). This is for a film club that meets once a month. We're scheduled for Friday 18 May - pending final confirmation.

And through a couple of work colleagues, I'm waiting on a couple of possible talks for a community group, a local Women's Institute and a historical society. So all I need to do is wait for my book delivery and I'm sorted for an interesting year.

On the music front, Old Man Goat performed a very well received and fun gig at the Lochside Pub in Newcastle. Our new back drop made its debut. Now's the time for me to invest in a new bass amp.

So there you have it. I'll be off to the Theatre Royal in Newcastle soon to watch the French comedy piece Art with Nigel Havers, Denis Lawson and Stephen Tomkinson.

Weather permitting!!!!
